Cool Off The Wall sequence.

Mexico.

Got my tickets and I'm amping for some waves, competing in the IBA Puerto Escondido, Mexico event, and having good times with friends. I'll be leaving on August 1 and coming back home on the 17th. Mexico has always been one of my most favorite zones to surf at. I've been there about 3 times so this would be my 4th time there. It's really consistent with waves and the people there are very friendly. I feel really confident out there and I'm looking forward to this event. The last time I was in Mexico was in 2009 and I got some fun waves. I went there with my good friend Shea and he somehow got a cool photo of me. Below is the photo and hopefully I can get some ramps like these while i'm there. I'm amping and super Stoked! Aloha

Well the waves have been small here on Maui lately. I still manage to try and get into the water somehow on some kind of wave riding vehicle. This past weekend I went SUPing with my brother Jonah, my uncle Daniel, and my cousins from Florida and it was good times. It was their first times SUPing and they still had a great time for sure. SUPing is also a great way to stay fit so I was stoked to enjoy this day keeping fit and riding some waves on the SUP with family zones. TURBOs new board range.

I found this photo on the TURBOs facebook page. It's a sneak peak of TURBOs new board range for this year. They are looking epic. These bad boys should be in stores late August or early September. USBA Sandy Beach results.

So the USBA Sandy Beach contest has come to an end. The waves were pretty good and the weather was awesome. This was the most competitors the USBA Sandy Beach has ever had and the level of riding was insane. I think there was about 50 plus entrees in the Pro division and about the same for the amateur divisions. The DK pro had about 16 entrees. It was awesome and everyone was ripping. In the end it was Jeff Hubbard taking out the pro division followed by Skipp 2nd, Garner 3rd, and Tamega 4th. DUBB won the DK division and my good friend Alan Lamphere got 2nd. I ended up getting knocked in the semis being beat by Garner and Skipp. It's not the result I wanted, but I can't win them all or make the final all the time. I still had a great time hanging out with a lot of new and old friends as well as my mom and dad, my brother Jonah and his fiance Rusti, and my gf Robin. I wanted to thank everyone for the support! Especially to my mom, dad, Rusti, and my gf Robin for spending long days in the hot sun supporting my brother and I in our heats. I Love you guys :) Aloha and mahalos again everyone. Life is good!

I'm on Oahu at the moment surfing and having fun with good friends before the Sandys contest this weekend. I arrived today and got to surf some fun half point. It was my first surf in about 2 weeks somehow. It was good times for sure catching up with old friends and fighting the current. Good times on 4th of July.

Yesterday was the 4th of July which is Independence Day here in the USA. Robin, Sarah, Michael, my mom, pops, Jonah, and I all went to Lahaina for BBQ some grinds, watch the sunset, and enjoy the fireworks in Front Street. Robin bought and put together this cute little BBQ grill she got and we cooked some hot dogs and corn somehow at Puamana beach park. After the sun went down we all headed to Front Street to watch the fireworks. It was awesome to cruise with everyone and enjoy the firework show. Maui life.

After a long 2 month trip around the world to locations such as Peru, Chile, California, and Australia it is always nice to come home and enjoy my Maui life. To me, my Maui life means enjoying my time with my family, friends, gf, pets, and just enjoying everything on Maui. I love it here and its good to just relax and enjoy my home zones.
This past week I was able to watch my good friend Riley Dutro win his MMA fight. I've known Riley since high school and I was stoked to finally watch one of his fights live. He ended up winning with a decision after 3 rounds. Congrats Riley!!!!!!
I've also been staying fit while I enjoy home. Maui gets pretty bad with waves in the summer so I try to excersise everyday somehow. My brother Jonah has been my personal trainer and I've been going to the gym with him or Robin about 4 times a week. Robin and I also went on a bike ride through Haiku which was about 14 miles round trip. It was my first real hardcore bike ride and I enjoyed it for sure. Excersising and enjoying good times with Robin on our bike ride was awesome.
Lastly, my pops built a pizza oven in our backyard and I was super excited to try it out for the first time last night. My pops, mom, Jonah, Rusti, Kyle, Robin, and I all made our own pizzas and it was great. Earlier in the day, My mom, pops, Jonah, and Kyle went fishing and they caught a mahi mahi weighing about 15-20 pounds. Small kine. Kyle and Jonah cooked this Mahi Mahi dish which was amazing as well. It was a good time last night enjoying each others company and making pizzas and eating allkine mahi mahi zones for sure.
Maui is my home and I couldn't see myself living any where else. I love it here!!!!!!! I'll be on Oahu this week for the USBA sandys contest and then cruising home for a couple weeks, then off to Mexico for the IBA contest in Puerto Escondido. As for now, I'm enjoying my Maui life :) aloha and mahalo for the support everyone! LIFE IS GOOD........with guy hags.
